Be a gleaning ambassador!
Are you aged 16-24? Do you love gleaning and want to get more involved/spread the word? Why not become a gleaning ambassador?
The first step is to sign up to our gleaning list, to find out about gleaning days coming up near you, and get out in the fields to save some food for charities. Find out more about gleaning on our main page.
Below are some great ideas for how you can spread the word about gleaning!
Got 5 minutes? Share gleaning with your friends!
Gleaning’s better with company – Invite your friends to join you in the fields!
Put up Posters!
Think that people at your college, university, social club or workplace will like gleaning? Why not put up a poster to spread the love? You can download these fun posters by clicking the images below:
Do a creative project on gleaning!
Do you love photography? Are you a documentary maker in the making? A budding vLogger or blogger? A GIF veteran? An Instagram and facebook pioneer? Come gleaning and document your experiences in creative ways to spread the word! No specialist skills required! Contact email@example.com if you’re interested!
Fundraise for gleaning!
Why not fundraise for Feedback? Do a sponsored run, do a bake sale with gleaned produce, hold a film night – it’s up to you! If you’d like to fundraise, get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org
Encourage your friends/family to donate to support our work here.
Set up a gleaning society!
Are you at a college or university with student societies? Why not set up a food waste or gleaning society? Then you can run fun gleaning events like setting up stalls at freshers fairs, hold talks and film nights, and run fundraisers. Email email@example.com if you’re interested in setting up a society at your university!
Run a Disco Soup!
Disco Soups are like Ready Steady Cook with DJs – we take beautiful food that would otherwise have gone to waste, cook it up, and eat it communally with music and dance. Previous Disco Soups have occured at the V&A Museum in London, Skip Garden and around the country. Check out this great review in TimeOut. Want to host your own Disco Soup? Check out our toolkit, and get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested!
