The first- ever Feeding the 5000 in the USA took place in Oakland, California

The event was organized by End Food Waste and Feedback and in collaboration with a coalition of U.S. organizations including NRDC, GRACE Communications Foundation, Sustainable America and local organizations including St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County, Food Shift, People’s Grocery, Oakland Unified School District and the Ecology Center.
